The South African Social Security Agency (SASSA) in Mpumalanga is currently traveling to the Fernie 2 Neighborhood Hall in Mpuluzi to render providers for the community.
SASSA are going to be rendering services including new social grant applications, change of payment method, customer treatment enquiries, along with the Social Relief of Distress (SRD) COVID-19 grant enquiries.
In a statement, the agency mentioned it really is alarmed with regard to the substantial amount of people depending on social grants for survival.
“The aim of your Integrated Registration Outreach Programme [ICROP] is to reach-out into a high amount of clients/beneficiaries to access SASSA services.
“This is because of the lack of infrastructure at Fernie and there's no completely functional office committed to service the area regularly. The provider point developed for intervention experiences a superior inflow of potential beneficiaries, which makes it difficult for that office to attend here to all people who stop by a service point.
“In this reach-out programme, SASSA will mobilise additional sources to help the servicing of all shoppers and boost access to Social Assistance expert services,” the agency said.
